A passionate writer, mentor, life coach and first time published poetry author, Rosena Duncanson was born in the beautiful islands of The Bahamas. She is a lover of art, music and nature scenes.
Inspired by personal experiences, her writing embodies emotional resilience and evokes self-awareness. She like many others, have at one time or another been held captive by the spirit of fear: the voice of intimidation; a fear of failure; a fear of not succeeding; and the fear of not accomplishing what God would have her to do. As a result, she shares her misguided memories as a source of encouragement and empowerment to those she encounters.
Even though she has attained many professional accolades, Rosena highlights the journey of life’s experiences with the desire to continue loving as great accomplishments.
In time the sediments of history will cloud her memory, the memories of those that knew her or thought they knew her, filtering and shifting their discernment of a woman who continues to grow to become a cherished icon of this modern 21st Century era.
She is a firm believer that we can rediscover new versions of ourselves with each experience we encounter.

Journey of Love, Heartbreak and Self Discovery
Poetry has been an expression of my thoughts and feelings; those that I do not wish to share aloud.
Writing, like most, is my freedom, my release; at times the only way I can express how I truly feel. It is my sincere hope that my feelings and experiences could help others realize that they are not alone in how they feel.
We have been hurt, we have healed, we have loved, we have hated, and most importantly we have grown. Yet, we have elevated from every situation, whether it has been good or bad.
In life, there is always another level. So, therefore, let us elevate and in the words of Bob Marley "emancipate yourselves from mental slavery, none but ourselves can free our minds."
I want to say thank you to all those who have hurt me, who have loved me, and especially to those who have shown me they cared. They are the ones who would have inspired me to write.
